Course Synopsis for Electives offered

International Finance

The course provides a thorough understanding of the international finance which acts as a catalyst of international trade. International parity condition is the fundamental theory to international finance transactions. The students are exposed to foreign exchange mechanisms such as hedging, forward contracts, option and swap. The course also comprises mechanisms to reduce financial exposure in international trade. Other topics include budgeting in multinational corporations, merger and acquisition of international firms, international investments and international capital flows.

HRM

This course provides an overview of the field of human resource management (HRM). Its focuses on various issues and challenges related to the major human resource management functions. Topics discussed include strategic human resource management, human resource planning, job analysis and design, recruitment and selection, human resource development, and performance and career management. Topics relating to compensation & benefit and safety and health, employee relations and International HRM are also discussed.
