MORE DETAILS ON COMPETENCY LEVEL OF ASSESSMENT THE SEMINAR

1.0 Introduction
The development of an individual’s level of competency has been the focus of organizations in order to achieve the visions and missions and also to emerge as a winner in today’s globally competitive market. Due to the rapid demands of needs and technological breakthroughs, the products and services need to adapt to these changes in order to be at par with the rest of the world. In this era where everything you need is within your reach, the quality aspect should not be disregard as it will bring down the organization and surely in this era, there is no room for losing. The world how has become a community and commodity is more than a just political playground.

2.0 Competency and Changes
The purpose of performance management is to keep the organization to operate accordingly and to utilize resources in the best way possible. One of the way component in performance measurement is to use competency indicator. Employee’s competency must be continuously and systematically supervises using a valid and reliable measuring device. The main indicator must be based on core business which is explained through job description with a clear guidance of term of reference and standard of procedure. The performance appraisal process will be better if the key performance indicator used is understandable by the employees. Employees’ competency must be put among the top priorities in order for the organization and its employees to feel the benefit. This will lead to quality enhancement of the service/product and large earning by the organization.

3.0 Objectives
3.1 To expose the importance of performance management and its relation with the competency evaluation aspects and its application in the government and private sector.
3.2 To understand the practice and routine of competency management in the organization.
3.3 To build and establish theories related to performance management so it can benefit the government and private organizations.
